If you have ever tried to read a privacy policy, you know the experience. Ours is short, and it is written for a human being. Here goes.
There are only two things we ever hold
One, whatever you send us yourself. If you write an email to the site, we get your address and the name you sign with, because that is simply what an email is. Two, the generic details any website notes in passing, like the sort of device you used and which articles you opened. None of this says who you are.
The reasons we keep them
The device details tell us which pieces are worth writing, and keep the whole thing running. Your address exists so we can reply. That is the entire purpose, and there is no other one hiding behind it.
The cookie business
Cookies are the little files that let a site recall you from one page to the next. A few keep the site working, the rest are about advertising. Block them in your browser if you would like. Only minor conveniences will notice.
The others in the picture
We rely on Google for traffic figures and advertising. They set their own cookies and follow their own rules, separate from ours. The advertising side is adjustable through your own Google settings.
If you are very young
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly gather anything from anyone under thirteen, and if we found we had, we would remove it promptly.
If you would like something removed
Just ask. Write to us, and we will tell you what we hold and take it away if you prefer. No hoops to jump through.
